How we work
The Contract Method
The Contract Method is the four-stage process every Hitman Marketing engagement runs on: Recon, Target, Execute, Confirm. Each stage has fixed checkpoints and deliverables written as counts rather than adjectives, so it is always clear what is shipping and what we need from you.
- 01 · Week 1
Recon
Find out what is actually true before proposing anything. Most engagements that go wrong were mis-scoped here, not mis-delivered later.

- Ten buying-intent prompts run across ChatGPT, Perplexity, Gemini and Google AI Mode, with three named competitors tracked alongside you
- Listing audit across Google Business Profile, Foursquare, Apple Business Connect and Bing Places
- Technical audit: rendering, crawler access, Core Web Vitals, preview controls
- Geo-grid ranking map against three named local competitors
- Baseline numbers recorded, so later claims of improvement can be checked
- 02 · Week 2
Target
One objective, written down, with the deliverables as counts. This is the document both sides are held to.
- A single primary objective for the engagement — not four competing ones
- Scope written as counts: pages, posts, workflows, calls. Never 'ongoing' or 'as needed'
- An explicit exclusion list, so nobody discovers a gap in month three
- Timeline with checkpoints and what we need from you at each
- The measurement plan, including what will not be measurable and why
- 03 · Weeks 3–12
Execute
Built in the order that produces visible movement soonest — which is rarely the order that is easiest to invoice.
- Listings and entity work first, because that is where fast, checkable movement lives
- Crawler access and rendering fixes second — content nobody can read has no value
- Content and structure third, built around question-form headings with extractable answers
- Automation last, once there is enough lead flow for it to matter
- A visible win inside the first two weeks, every time
- 04 · Monthly, ongoing
Confirm
Reporting that states its own limitations. If something is not working you hear it from us before you notice it yourself.
- One-page monthly report: share of voice, citations, listing health, rankings, calls and form fills
- The honest caveats stated each time, not buried — AI referral traffic is systematically under-counted
- A day-75 review in the first quarter, because most engagements that fail do so in the first 90 days
- Quarterly re-scope: what to stop, what to double down on
Common questions
- Why is the first visible win in week two rather than month three?
- Partly because listing and profile work genuinely moves that fast, and partly because 43% of client churn happens in the first 90 days. An engagement where nothing observable happens for a quarter is one where trust runs out before results arrive.
- What happens if I don't get you content on time?
- The timeline extends day for day after ten business days, and it is in the contract. This is not a penalty — it is what makes the published timelines honest. Projects are delayed by waiting for approvals far more often than by the work itself.
- Can I change the objective mid-engagement?
- Yes, through a written change order. The reason it is written rather than verbal is that scope drift is the single most common way a good engagement turns into a resentful one, and both parties are protected by having the change on paper.
Find out whether your territory is open
One contract per industry per city. If yours is open you can execute at the published price today; if a competitor already holds it, the nearest open market is the one to look at.
The survey is credited in full against the contract if your territory opens and you take it.
