Accessibility Statement
Last updated 26 July 2026
We build sites to be usable by everyone, including people using screen readers, keyboard navigation, magnification, or reduced-motion settings. Florida also sees a high volume of web accessibility litigation, so this matters commercially as well as ethically.
What this site does
- Semantic HTML with a single H1 and a logical heading order on every page.
- Full keyboard navigation with a visible focus indicator and a skip-to-content link.
- Colour contrast meeting WCAG 2.2 AA for body and interface text.
- Form fields with associated labels and errors linked to their inputs.
- Motion reduced automatically when the operating system requests it.
- Text that reflows without horizontal scrolling; wide tables scroll within their own container rather than the page.
- No content conveyed by colour alone.
What we are aiming at
WCAG 2.2 Level AA. We test with keyboard navigation and a screen reader, and we re-audit contrast and heading structure whenever a template changes. We do not claim perfection — automated tools catch a minority of real accessibility problems, and anyone claiming full compliance on the strength of a plugin is overstating it.
One exception we already know about: the hairlines that separate sections, cards and table rows sit below the 3:1 non-text contrast ratio, deliberately. Nothing on this site is identified by a hairline alone — a card is identified by its heading and its text, a table row by its content — so no control becomes harder to find because of it. Naming a known exception is more useful to you than a blanket claim.
Overlay widgets
We do not use accessibility overlay widgets. They are widely opposed by disabled users and disability advocacy organisations, they frequently interfere with the assistive technology people already use, and they have not reliably prevented litigation. Accessibility is built into the markup instead.
